Hi There! And welcome to the ESAD 2017 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop! You’re sure to find loads of inspiration through the hop for the new holiday products that became available for purchase yesterday! YAY!!! What is ESAD you ask?

As always, I’m excited to share with you my projects, but especially excited for one of them because I finally did a technique I’ve been avoiding because I thought it was “too hard”…. it wasn’t too hard I found out, just messy! lol

Christmas is my favourite holiday of the year and I especially love the magic that comes with children looking for Santa in the night sky and that was my inspiration for today’s first card.

To create the card, I used the 1 3/4″ circle punch (in vellum) to create a mask for the moon and lightly adhered that to my card. I then sponged using Tempting Turquoise Pacific Point, Night of Navy and Rich Razzleberry inks to create the night sky. I sponged in circles to create the effect and then once I had a coat of each colour, I spent some time going back over them to blend each colour.

I stamped the Santa image and the sentiment from the new Hearts Come Home stamp set. I didn’t want the sentiment to take over the card, so stamped in black in between the Pacific Point and Night of Navy section of the card.

I can’t get over the “magic” feel of this card. I added some white dots which can be interpreted as “stars” or “snows”, whatever tickles your fancy. I can’t wait to make another!

My next project is something I always LOVE to make at Christmas time – red & white stripes are my go to for the festive season. They always look so crisp and clean and the new Around the World Designer Series Paper has a gorgeous sheet exactly like that!

I find when you’re a working mum, have a family or just a busy woman but still want to craft, you need quick an easy Christmas cards to create! Then this is the perfect card for you… or even you could use the sketch/ layout of the card to create your own design.

The stunning cursive sentiment is from the Watercolor Christmas stamp set that accompanies one of the fun kits in the new Holiday catalogue. How beautiful is that font?

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my cards (feel free to leave a comment below) and the blog hop has got you thinking about what you’re going to make for your Christmas projects this year.
