My Top 5 Products – 2017/ 2018 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue!

I have a different kind of post for you today! No creations as such, but I’m sharing with you my five favourite products from the new 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! catalogue. Each year I love to do this to share with you what I’m loving and hopefully highlight a product or two you might have missed! (Who I am kidding? We all read the catalogue from front to back numerous times, so highly unlikely we’ve missed anything!)

So… the amazing products that have made my Top 5 this year (in no particular order are…)

  1. This Little Piggy Stamp Set (page 48)

I haven’t been this excited about a stamp set since the infamous “donuts” got released a few years back! As soon as I saw the piggies I knew they would be in my first order! They are just the cutest and are suitable for loads of occasions! Stay tuned in a week or so for some cards I’ve created for an upcoming class and stamp club.

2. Embossing Paste (page 201)

I would have skipped right past this had some fellow demonstrators not showed their excitement from seeing a sneak peek at the Stampin’ Up! Onstage event. I’ve had a quick play with the product for an upcoming class and club and it adds such great texture to the card (and you can colour it!!!). Even Mr. INK and Master INK were impressed. And it is such a steal at $11.50 per tub!

3. Tabs for Everything Bundle (Stamp Set & Circle Tab Punch) (page 43)

Like to be organise? Like to plan? Like to “tab” your catalogue so you can quickly find products?… then this bundle is the one for you! Comprising of a very versatile stamp set than can be used on cards as well as “tabs”, this stamp set is one that has endless possibilities! My first port of call with this set though is tabbing my catalogue! I’ve only done this once before and it really does make finding this so much easier!

4. 2 1/4″ Circle Punch (page 207)

A simple item but I never go past a new circle punch! I love the ease of a circle punch and how every single time it is a perfect shape! I can never cut anything with my paper snips that resembles a circle! lol! So I was very excited to see another circle punch to add to the collection. I even own two 1 3/4″ circle punches because they get used so much!

5. Striped Treat Bags (page 195)

I’m mad for a treat bag! They make packaging a card or a small gift so easy when you’re strapped for time! I’ve loved all the treat bags Stampin’ Up! have sold, however there is something a little bit extra special about one with gold stripes! You can dress it up or dress it down so it suits every single occasion you may have on your calendar!

I’ve tried to showcase a little bit of everything in the catalogue; stamps, packaging, punches and tools! Be sure to pop back to my blog over the coming months to see these products appear. I’m sure they’ll be featured more than once! Would love to hear what your favourite products us so feel free to comment below.

Happy Crafting (with your new products!)

Top 5 Occasions Catalogue Products

Today I’m giving you a quick run down on my top 5 products from the new Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalogue. I’ve been creating this week so there are plenty of blog posts to come, it is just a gloomy, wet day in Melbourne today so not good for taking photos! Plus, I have to wait for the recipients to receive their card  before ruining their surprise.

The new Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalogue commenced on the 4th January! And I must say, when I first opened it there were some things that I HAD to have…. but also, there are a few things that I didn’t initially notice that I’m very pleased I ended up ordering.

So without further ado, my top 5 products from the new Occasions catalogue are:

1. Cool Treats Stamp Set (in fact the whole Cool Treats Suite), page 32 & 33 – this will come to no surprise to those who know me well! I love food stamps and in particular with this suite, I love the colours they have used; Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzaz, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party and Watermelon Wonder. It is a great colourful, summery suite that will make great, bright cards and 3D projects – I do feel an ice-cream banner coming on!

2. Party Animal Designer Series Paper, page 5 – again, the colours have captured my attention! So vibrant and perfect for those hard to make male birthday cards!

3. Mini Egg Cartons , page 18 – whoever came up with this idea is genius! These come in a natural cream colour so there is plenty of opportunity for you to be creative and style these cartons any which way you like! I can’t wait to get spritzing and add some colour to them! They also fit 4 Ferrero Rocher chocolates in the “egg” holes… a great gift for your chocolate loving friend (me!).

4. Everyday Hero Stamp Set, page 49 – I think having two young boys in my house makes me think of so many uses for this stamp set and the extra bonus is, they’ve included a female Superhero too (as they should!). I’ve had a play with this set already and made a super fun Magic Card which I can’t wait to show you!

5. Mini Paper Clips Combo Pack, page 15 – these may have slipped under your radar as they’re not a predominant picture in the catalogue but they make a great embellishment to any card or project and even better, if you have a planner and use it to keep yourself organised, then these will make your planner look nice and fancy!

And because it is such a gorgeous catalogue, I thought I’d give some “honourable mentions” to some of my other favourite products:

  1. Iconic Occasions – Hostess Stamp Set, page 3
  2. Star Blast Edgelits Dies, page 11
  3. Watercolour Pencils, page 24
  4. Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, page 40 (I bet you’ve missed these!)
  5. Perfect Mix Stamp Set, page 35 (awesome if you give lots of baked goods as presents)

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you’ve enjoyed my favourite products! Leave a comment below to let me know what products are tickling your fancy.

Happy Crafting,
